The Flake amendment to the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act would increase accountability measures for this government program by allowing a Governor to intervene in a failing program after one year instead of waiting for three years. ACU supports performance standards for government programs and supported this amendment. The Senate defeated the amendment on June 25, 2014 by a vote of 33-63.
