Requiring Hospitals to Report Illegal Immigrant Status

Description

This bill establishes procedures for hospitals to inquire about and, in defined circumstances, report patients' immigration status to government authorities. It prevents medical facilities from becoming de facto sanctuaries while allowing care to be provided. CPAC supports immigration enforcement and transparency in public systems and supported this bill. The House passed this bill on 2025-05-05 by a vote of 32-25. The Governor vetoed this bill.
