This bill prohibits state and local governments from adopting policies that grant preferential treatment or discrimination based on race, sex, or other protected characteristics in public employment, education, and contracting. It directly dismantles DEI-style quotas and identity-based favoritism in government. CPAC opposes DEI mandates and race-based preferences and supported this bill. The Senate passed this bill on 2025-05-06 by a vote of 17-11. The Governor vetoed this bill.
