Mandating Ideological 'Gender-Affirming' Hormone Coverage

This bill forces health plans, insurers, and public programs to cover prescription hormone therapies under expansive nondiscrimination rules, effectively locking in coverage for controversial gender-transition related treatments and limiting providers' and insurers' discretion. By declaring an urgency, it fast-tracks an ideological health-care mandate that tramples medical judgment, conscience rights, and parental authority. CPAC supports protecting children from irreversible gender-transition interventions and opposes coerced coverage mandates for ideological treatments and opposed this bill. The House passed this bill on 2025-09-10 by a vote of 60-18. The Governor vetoed this bill.
