More Process Layers in Child Placement Transitions
2025 - Colorado Senate
Conservatives Oppose
Description
This bill creates additional placement transition plan requirements meant to support children in out-of-home placements as they move into family-based settings. CPAC is concerned that layering more mandated planning onto an already overburdened system will add bureaucracy rather than real help and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on 2025-04-30 by a vote of 31-4. The House passed this bill on 2025-04-14 by a vote of 41-23. The bill later became law.
