2025HB 123

Discharge of Firearm at Dwelling, Place of Worship, Vehicle, or Place of Business

2025 - Delaware Senate

Conservatives Oppose

Description

This bill creates a class E felony for discharging a firearm at a dwelling, place of worship, vehicle, or place of business. CPAC opposes this bill because, while intended to prevent reckless gun use, it could inadvertently restrict lawful self-defense. The Senate passed it on June 30, 2025, by a vote of 20-0, and it was signed into law on August 20, 2025.
