Requiring Property Managers to Have an In-State Representative
2025 - Georgia Senate
Conservatives Oppose
Description
HB 399 requires certain property managers to employ an in-state representative to deal with tenant calls and other communications. CPAC believes that property managers should have flexibility in how they manage their buildings, so it opposes this bill. HB 399 passed the Georgia Senate in a 41-9 vote on April 4, 2025, and it was later signed into law by Governor Brian Kemp.
