SB 1, also called the “Riley Gaines Act of 2025,” bars men from participating in school sports designated for female athletes. CPAC believes that men competing against women in athletics makes a mockery of female athletes’ efforts, and it supports this bill. SB 1 passed the Georgia Senate in 34-20 vote on March 31, 2025, and it was signed into law by Governor Brian Kemp on April 28, 2025.
