This bill sets a series of energy reductions to be met between now and 2045. In total, the mandates require 6000 gigawatts of reductions. CPAC opposes these mandates that raise the cost of energy to everyone and opposed this bill. The Senate passed the bill on April 30, 2025, by a vote of 23-2, and the bill later became law.
