2025HB 125

Leaving Gun Owners Defenseless

2025 - Hawaii Senate

Conservatives Oppose

Description

This bill expands the requirements for owners of firearms to keep their weapons in storage and notify any purchaser of these restrictions. CPAC sees this as making it more difficult for a gun owner to use a weapon for defense purposes and opposed this bill. The Senate passed the bill on April 8, 2025, by a vote of 23-2, and the bill later became law.
