Description

HF 572 establishes human smuggling as a criminal offense in Iowa, giving law enforcement more tools to fight illegal immigration. CPAC believes those facilitating illegal immigration should be held accountable and supports this bill. HF 572 was passed by the Iowa House of Representatives in a 75-14 vote on March 20, 2025, but the Senate did not vote on the bill before the end of the legislative session.
