This bill sets firm deadlines for local governments to issue building permits and requires the health and environment department to respond within 45 days to stormwater discharge notices for construction. It curbs bureaucratic delays that drive up housing and project costs. CPAC supports streamlining permitting to unleash private development and supported this bill. The Senate passed this bill on 2025-03-19 by a vote of 30-10. The bill later became law.
