Raising the Minimum Wage and Killing Entry-Level Jobs

2025 - Kansas Senate

Conservatives Oppose

Description

This bill increases the Kansas minimum wage for employees. It forces small businesses to absorb higher labor costs, which will reduce job opportunities, especially for young and low-skill workers. CPAC opposes government-mandated wage hikes that destroy entry-level jobs and opposed this bill. The Senate defeated this bill on 2025-03-27 by a vote of 9-30. The bill did not become law.
