HB 10, also known as the “Parental Bill of Rights,” declares a parent has the ultimate responsibility for raising their child and enshrines concrete protections stemming from that right. These protections for parents include the following: the right to request and receive any information about their child from school officials, the right to pursue schooling outside of public schools, the right to seek exemptions from immunizations if a doctor recommends it, and the right to opt out of objectionable sex or health classes. CPAC believes parental rights should be vigorously protected and supports this bill. HB 10 was passed by the New Hampshire House of Representatives in a 210-160 vote on June 5, 2025, and it was signed into law by Governor Kelly Ayotte.
