Description

HB 231 requires school employees to receive consent from the parents of a minor before transporting that minor to a medical or mental health appointment. The bill includes reasonable exceptions for rendering time-critical emergency medical attention. CPAC believes that parents should be consulted before their child is transported off school property, so it supports this bill. The New Hampshire Senate passed HB 231 in a 21-3 vote on April 17, 2025, and it was later signed into law by Governor Kelly Ayotte.
