This bill raises the excise tax on cigarettes and other nicotine products. CPAC believes that people have the right to consume tobacco products and opposes tax increases. CPAC opposed the bill. The Assembly passed the bill on June 30, 2025 by a vote of 46-33 and the bill also passed the Senate.
