Removing Barriers to be a Social Worker

2025 - New Jersey Senate

Conservatives Support

Description

This bill enters New Jersey into an interstate compact for licensure for social workers. This means that the credentials needed to be a social worker in New Jersey will transfer to other states and vice versa. It is a form of deregulation. CPAC supports occupational licensure deregulation and supported this bill. The bill passed the Senate on March 24, 2025 by a vote of 39-0.
