Banning Affordable Food Packaging in the Name of Environmental Activism

Description

This bill prohibits food dispensing establishments from using disposable foodware containers made from polystyrene foam, imposing penalties for noncompliance. This mandate increases costs for small businesses and consumers under the guise of environmental regulation. CPAC opposed this bill. The House passed this bill on 2025-04-17 by a vote of 36-6. The Governor vetoed this bill.
