Chipping Away at Landlords' Ability to Manage Their Properties

2025 - Nevada Senate

Conservatives Oppose

Description

This bill imposes new mandates on landlords regarding how rent can be paid, caps certain online payment fees, requires detailed fee disclosures, creates new grounds for tenant lawsuits, and restricts some application fees and practices in rental agreements. CPAC defends property owners against ever-expanding tenant mandates and litigation traps and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on 2025-05-23 by a vote of 16-5. The bill later became law.
