Description

This bill updates numerous provisions governing oil and gas wells, revises permitting and operational rules, and addresses the handling of federal mineral royalty payments. It is intended to streamline regulations, clarify authority, and support responsible development of Ohio’s oil and gas resources. CPAC supports modernizing energy regulations to encourage domestic oil and gas production and reduce regulatory uncertainty and supported this bill. The Senate passed this bill on 2025-11-19 by a vote of 25-8. The bill did not become law.
