2025 - Oregon House of Representatives
Conservatives Support
Description
This bill requires schools and collegiate athletic organizations to designate sports teams, competitions, bathrooms, and locker rooms according to biological sex and bars biological males from competing in female sports or accessing female-only facilities. It also creates causes of action to enforce these protections. The measure defends fairness in competition and the privacy and safety of girls and women from radical gender ideology. CPAC supports protecting female athletics and single-sex spaces based on biological sex and supported this bill. The House defeated a motion to withdraw the measure from committee on 2025-06-05 by a vote of 22-32. The bill did not become law.
