Conservatives Support
Description
This bill changes the qualifications required to place a constitutional amendment on the statewide ballot. Requirements include signers from every senatorial district, 5% of the total votes cast for governor, and other provisions. CPAC supports toughening requirements to amend the state constitution and supported this bill. The governor vetoed the bill, and the Senate sustained that veto on March 31, 2025 by a vote of 16-16.
