Extending Pollution Control Tax Credits to Nuclear Facilities

Description

This bill allows nuclear energy production facilities to qualify for pollution control tax credits for certain machinery and equipment. It recognizes nuclear power as a clean, reliable energy source worthy of equal tax treatment as other pollution control investments. CPAC supports nuclear energy within an all-of-the-above energy strategy and supported this bill. The Senate passed this bill on 2025-04-03 by a vote of 30-0. The House passed this bill on 2025-03-13 by a vote of 87-2. The bill later became law.
