This bill, sponsored by Rep. August Pfluger (CPAC Lifetime Rating 83%), prohibits non-citizens from voting in District of Columbia elections and repeals the DC voting rights amendment of 2022. CPAC believes that voting is a sacred right of American citizens and opposes all non-citizens voting in American elections. For these reasons, CPAC supported this bill. The House passed the bill on June 10, 2025, by a vote of 266-148 (All Republicans and 56 Democrats voted in favor). The Senate has not taken floor action on the measure.
