Making emergency supplemental appropriations for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2024

2024 - U.S. Senate

Conservatives Oppose

Description

This bill, sponsored by Cathy McMorris Rodgers (CPAC Score 84%), adds $87 billion to the deficit for an additional $61 billion for Ukraine and $26 billion for Israel and Gaza combined. The bill does not clearly state how much of the $26 billion may be spent on Israel and how much may be spent on Gaza. CPAC notes that America had already given Ukraine more than $100 billion in aid, and Ukraine had received $180 billion in American aid in total by the end of 2024. CPAC opposed this bill. The Senate passed bill on February 13, 2024, by a vote of 70-29.
