Attempting To Block Republican Efforts to Defund Planned Parenthood

This Sen. Patty Murray (CPAC Lifetime Rating 2%) amendment removes the provision that prevents taxpayer funds from going to Planned Parenthood. CPAC considers every abortion a human tragedy and opposes forcing taxpayers to fund the nation’s largest abortion provider, and opposed this amendment.  The Senate defeated the amendment on June 30, 2025, by a vote of 49-51 (2 Republicans and all Democrats present voted in favor).
