Description

This bill creates a special tax classification for electric-powered landscaping equipment used in business, allowing localities to tax it differently from other tangible personal property. Rather than broad tax relief, it picks winners and losers by privileging one politically fashionable technology. CPAC opposes industry-specific tax preferences and subsidies and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on 2025-02-12 by a vote of 39-0. The Governor vetoed this bill.
