Description

This bill adopts the respiratory care interstate compact, allowing licensed respiratory therapists to practice more readily in Washington if licensed in member states. It reduces duplicative licensing barriers and enhances patient access to care. CPAC supports interstate licensure compacts that lower occupational licensing hurdles and supported this bill. The Washington Senate passed HB 1114 on April 4, 2025, in a 49-0 vote, and Governor Bob Ferguson signed the measure into law.
