Ensuring the State Can Access Medical Records for Children in Custody

Description

This bill provides access to the medical records of children taken into the custody of the state so that agencies can better manage their care. CPAC supports giving child welfare authorities appropriate tools to protect vulnerable children and supported this bill. The Senate passed this bill on 2025-04-10 by a vote of 32-2. The bill later became law.
