Strengthening Voter ID by Tightening Acceptable IDs

Description

This bill removes school identification cards from the list of acceptable forms of ID for in-person voting. It raises the standard of proof of identity at the polls to reduce vulnerabilities. CPAC supports strong voter ID requirements to safeguard elections and supported this bill. The House passed this bill on 2025-01-30 by a vote of 53-8, but the bill did not become law.
