State-Sponsored Gun Control Messaging to Parents

Description

This bill requires schools or related entities to distribute gun violence prevention materials to parents of K-12 students, embedding state-approved gun-control messaging into family communications. CPAC opposes using taxpayer-funded schools as vehicles for anti-Second Amendment propaganda and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on April 29, 2025, in a 21-11 vote. The House passed this bill on March 19, 2025, in a 43-21 vote. The bill later became law.
